This article entrails the efforts by the national nonprofit organization, Love Has No Labels, to promote inclusion and diversity. The organization created an app that tasks players to run around to predestined locations to uncover cards depicting various diverse figures within the real of the video game industry. This program/application is a really wonderful, progressive as it helps spread inclusion in a industry so stricken by homophobia and racism.

This article entails a new LGBT resource center opening in Oakland, the only major California city without one. This resource center was especially hard to open as it took many years fighting for. Jeff Myers and Joe Hawkins were the two to open up the center in Oakland. It's really a relief for the LGBT youth and citizens to be able to have a safe place to spend their time and be able to discuss the situation in their lives.

3) http://citizensvoice.com/news/naacp-s-annual-picnic-in-the-park-celebrates-diversity-1.2243848

This article entails the 19th annual Diversity picnic put on bu the NAACP. This is an amazing opportunity for all people to come together and get to truly know about one another. While some public officials have used the picnic as a change to confront issues, the picnic is still a great place to meet new and interesting people.

4) https://www.insidehighered.com/views/2017/09/22/why-not-all-lgbt-exclusive-spaces-are-beneficial-essay

This article details the issues that arise when completely segregating LGBT youths into separate dorms. While this may seem like a good idea to some it can also cause massive safety problems, as people who live here can become automatic targets. This also doesn't promote inclusion or diversity as it completely segregates one demographic from the other.

5) https://www.out.com/news-opinion/2017/11/30/hiv-diagnoses-hit-historic-low-new-york-city

This article entails the department of health's 2016 report on HIV diagnoses reveals an all time low for AIDS. While we still have bounds and leaps to go I think this reveals a massive shift in the attitudes towards HIV. I think this is especially interesting considering the play the Normal Hearts
addresses the massive willful ignorance of the AIDS crisis we see a change in attitude towards the problem which is hopeful.

6) https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/15/world/asia/australia-gay-marriage.html

This article entails the recent action of the legislative branch of Australia to pass same-sex marriage. This was a resounding boom for LGBT all across the world, making yet another leap towards a more loving and accepting world. This was a day filled with celebration, and elation for many many people, and I'm quite glad we were able to take this step in the right direction.

7) https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-weird-science-of-homophobes-who-turn-out-to-be-gay

This article entails the theory that those who are massive homophones are themselves homosexuals. The idea stems from that due to perhaps their guilt or religious upbringing, they cannot ever be gay and see others who are happily gay and project their self-hatred onto them. This is seen quite often as in society it is still somewhat looked down upon to be gay.

8) https://www.out.com/news-opinion/2017/11/17/anti-gay-republican-lawmaker-resigns-after-getting-caught-having-gay-sex-his-office

This article entails the story of an hyper anti-LGBT congressman who was caught having gay sex in his office. I find this article particularly interesting because of the previous document on homophones, here we see a real life example of it happening. I think it's also perhaps a commentary on society that maybe if we were to accept people and grow our children to understand and encourage gay people we wouldn't have so many scandals and failed marriages.
